Two year olds may begin attending Barlow Little Palms Preschool on their second birthday. They will learn social skills, potty training, and beginning language, math, art and science skills. They will make friends and learn how to play together. They will learn how to share and say no, I don't want to share. We will watch them grow from toddlers, hesitant to be away from their families into confident, independent learners. They will learn prayers before snack and about God's love for them.
3-Year Old Preschool Class
Three year olds may begin attending the Barlow Little Palms Preschool 3 year old class when they turn 3 on or before September 1 of the current school year. They will learn language, alphabet, math, art and science skills. Their social skills will expand to learn school and classroom skills such as listening to teacher, being a good friend, waiting in line, taking turns and speaking in front of the class. They will learn prayers and stories about Jesus and how much God loves them.
Pre-Kindergarten Class (VPK)
Four year olds may begin attending Barlow Little Palms Preschool's VPK class when they turn 4 on or before September 1 of the current school year. Attendance in the VPK program is free to families of 4 years olds. The State of Florida pays their tuition and each student must register with the Early Learning Coalition. The State of Florida allows families to delay entry into VPK as long as the student turns 5 on or before September 1 of the current school year. Students should complete their VPK year the year prior to entering kindergarten. VPK students are busy every day learning language, reading comprehension, social studies, science, art, math and the social skills necessary for a successful transition to kindergarten. Barlow Little Palms VPK students will be confident in God's love and know Jesus and what He continues to teach us.
